


Click the small gear in the bottom left.While you are logged into the computer, start the VPN.You are now ready to log into the computer as shown below using the same account and password you used above.Įnable VPN to Start Before Logging In to the Computer.This is the same account you use to log into PeopleSoft to view your paycheck, Blackboard, etc. In the username field, enter your NDUS account which is most often your firstname.lastname and your password. This will open the Cisco An圜onnect Secure Mobility Client which allows you to log into UND’s VPN (virtual private network).Once you have successfully connected to a wireless connection, click on the Network sign-in icon.Select the wireless connection desired, check the box Connect Automatically if you will be connecting to this wireless connection frequently, click Connect and supply the necessary password for the wireless connection when prompted.Click on the wireless symbol again to display the available wireless networks. When your computer first boots up, you will first need to connect to a wireless connection at your location by clicking on the wireless symbol.*If you did not click the Start Before Logon, you may connect to the Stanford VPN now to access network resources. Any mapped network drives should now be working. When Windows completes the sign-in, you will eventually see the following dialogue box indicating that the VPN has already been connected.You will need to use Default Stanford split-tunnel. Enter your SUNet ID and password and two-factor authentication when prompted.You will see the Cisco An圜onnect Secure Mobility Client dialogue box. Click Connect and sign in as you normally would.With the latest version of VPN, you will see an icon denoted in the bottom right corner for the CiscoAn圜onnect Start Before Logon feature.

Using the Start Before Logon featureĬonnect to the VPN prior to logging in to take advantage of startup items and mapped network drives. Use the latest version of VPN to access the Start Before Logon feature. This is especially helpful while the computer is off campus or when logging onto a new computer remotely.

Available only for Windows platforms, the Cisco An圜onnect Start Before Logon (SBL) establishes the VPN connection before logging onto Windows.
